Armored Poleaxe

Members of the Higgins Armory Sword Guild demonstrate armored poleaxe techniques for an episode of Modern Marvels on The History Channel. The show originally aired on May 30, 2008.

The techniques are taken from Le Jeu de la Hache, a 15th century Burgundian treatise on knightly poleaxe combat. The poleaxe has elements of an axe, a spear, and a war hammer.
